Special Valentines Menu at Indian Restaurant Petworth Southampton Chichester

This Valentine’s day, we have a very special menu of authentic home style dishes. 4 courses with tea or coffee. Available at basmati Locks Heath; Southampton, and Westergate, Chichester.  Please see alternative menu for Petworth below.


Appetizers:
Poppadoms and chutney

Starters:
 
Kumbi Keema:
Mushrooms stuffed with spicy mince, coated in golden breadcrumbs and deep fried.
 
Lamb Chops:
Lightly spiced pan fried lamb chops.
 
Onion Bhaji:
Spicy onion fritters.
 
Or Samosa:
Crispy triangular pastry filled with meat or vegetables.
 
Main Courses:
 
Chitoll Kufta (Fish):
A very special Bengali fish dish made using the flavoursome Chittoll fish. A real delicacy from Bangladesh. The fish has been deboned and the meat formed into fish balls (kufta) and cooked in a rich and spicy sauce. A touch hot. Care has been taken to remove all bones but please be careful of bones.
 
Meva Lamb:
Originating from southern parts of India. This Lamb dish is cooked with mango pulp to form a bhuna style dish with a slightly sweet and spicy sauce.
 
Or Shahi Chicken Korma:
The original Korma, cooked the way it has been done for 4 generations of our family. A mild and very tasty curry eaten only on special occasions.

Sabji Baazi (mixed vegetables), Pulao Rice, Naan Bread  (to share)
 
Desserts:
 
Cinnamon Pear with Kulfi:
Spiced cinnamon pear served with Indian icecream.
 
Or Shemai and Nimki:
A very traditional dessert of sweet vermicelli served with Indian pastry. Contains dairy.
 
Tea or Coffee:

Starters:


Spicy Chicken Wings:

Kumbi Keema:
Deep fried mushrooms stuffed with spiced minced lamb and coated in breadcrumbs.


Or King Prawn Butterfly:
Spiced tiger king prawns, coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried.


Main Course:

Lamb Chop Bhuna:
A very special curry often eaten in bangladeshi homes. Slow cooked on a low flame to create a mellow medium strength curry.


Sugonda Chicken:
Chicken cooked on the bone in the tandoori oven. then cooked in the pan in a medium spiced sweet and sour sauce.


Or Talapia Baaza: Lighlty spiced pan fried fillet of talapia fish as cooked in bengali homes.

Sides:

Saag and matar paneer:
Spianch cooked with green peas and cheese. Gently Spiced.


Pulao Rice
