VALENTINES MENU 2013
This February 14th, we have a very special Valentines day menu of authentic home style dishes from different parts of the Asian continent. None of the dishes are available on the A’la Carte menu. Each menu consists of 4 courses with tea or coffee. There is a different menu for each restaurant.
PETWORTH MENU

Appetizers:
Poppadoms and chutney
Starters:
Puri char bar (Puri 4 ways): A deep fried puri bread served with a selection of popular toppings. Sweet and sour prawns, chicken chatt masalla, chilli and honey chana and cucumber raitha.
Jhinga 65: A variation on India’s most popular street food. King prawns marinated in a spicy, tangy, sweet and sour sauce. Coated in chick pea flour and deep fried to a crispy finish.
Tikka Shawrma: An Indo-Arab dish of sliced Chichken tikka pan fried with onions, capsicum and tomato in a tamarind infused dressing.
Main Courses:
Machli baaza: A staple Bengali fish dish of pan fried Talapia fish fillets. Lightly spiced and served with aubergine slices and green beans with sesame seeds. Coated in a buttery sauce.
Kashi Bhuna: A goat curry cooked just as it is in Bengali homes, usually made on special occasions. Cooked on the bone for added flavour. Spicy and slightly hot.
Or Shahi Chicken Korma: The original Korma, cooked the way it has been done for 4 generations of our family. A mild and very tasty curry eaten only on special occasions.
Sides:
Fresh vegetable baazi, Pulao Rice and Naan Bread to share. Please order extra as required at no additional cost.
Desserts:
Banana Fritters: Choclate coated banana pieces deep fried in a light batter, served with ice cream.
Or Shemai and Nimki: A very traditional dessert of sweet vermicelli served with Indian pastry. Contains dairy.

Shomsa: A speciality snack from East Bangladesh. Spiced dough with a mince filling.
Or Machli Bora: Lightly spiced Tuna and potato fish cakes.

Jholokia Jhinga: King Prawns cooked with fresh baby Spinach. Spicy a slightly sweet with a touch of hot Jholokia pepper.

Lamb Chop Jhul: Lamb chop curry with a potato jhul sauce.
Or Syhleti Chicken Curry: Chicken curry cooked in the traditonal Eastern Bangladeshi style with a light and spicy sauce.

Desserts:Narkel burfi: Traditional coconut pastry served with ice cream.
Gulab Jamon: A sweet Indian fritter dessert served with ice cream.

Starters:Kebab Roll: Spiced mince rolled in pastry and cooked in the tandoori oven.
Garlic Mushrooms: Stuffed mushrooms coated in a garlic puree.
Or Jhinga Al-Arabi: A whole king prawn sauteed with a blend of middle eastern spices, served with a light pastry.
Main Course:Lahori Chop: Spiced rack of Lamb slow cooked in the tandoor and served in a bhuna style sauce. Can be served Medium or Hot.
Murgh Kata Masalla: Chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese and cooked in the tandoori oven. Plated with a mild curry sauce.
Or Chennai Fisherman’s Supper: Inspired by the fishermen’s cooking on the Indian south coast. Scallops, shrimps and Talapia fish cooked with spices in a coconut milk broth.
Sides:Fresh vegetable baazi. Pulao Rice and Naan bread to share. Please order extra as required at no additional cost.
